Garco Construction lands transfer station contract
$1 million refuse facility to be south of St. Maries in Benewah County

Garco Construction Inc., of Spokane, has been awarded a $1 million contract to construct a new garbage-transfer station for Benewah County, Idaho.

J. Michele Reynolds, the Benewah County clerk, says the county has started site preparation for the facility, which will be located about two miles southeast of St. Maries. It will be located on the same property as the current waste-transfer facility. The new transfer station will be paid for with money from a voter-approved bond for $1...
