Spokane Teachers Credit Union has started construction of its 16th branch, which is scheduled to open late this year on Spokane's South Hill.

The 4,000-square-foot structure, which STCU plans to call its Moran Prairie branch, is being erected at 5711 S. Hailee Lane, on the southeast corner of Hailee and 57th Avenue.

Walker Construction Inc., of Spokane, is the contractor for the $916,000 project, and Nystrom Olson Architecture, also of Spokane, designed it.
