The new Acceleration Physical Therapy office is to be built at 701 S. Sherman, on the lower South Hill. The company plans to move its South Hill practice there when the structure is completed.

Dave Jeter and Beth Sweigert, owners and founders of Acceleration Physical Therapy PLLC, plan to construct a $2.2 million clinic at 701 S. Sherman, where they plan to move their practice from leased space on the South Hill, says Jeter.

The 4,000-square-foot facility will include space for an independent massage therapy practice, Jeter says.

Hissong Design Group PLLC, of Spokane, which does business as HDG Architects, designed the new structure. Acceleration is in conversation with a local construction contractor but hasn't yet finalized a contract. Acceleration is also in the process of obtaining financing for the project.

Acceleration Physical Therapy has 25 employees between its South Hill, North Side, and Deer Park clinics. Jeter anticipates hiring a couple of additional clinicians with the opening of the new location.

The South Hill clinic, currently located at 2814 S. Grand Blvd., is expected to move to the new building when it’s completed.

With the exception of COVID-19 disruptions, Acceleration Physical Therapy's revenue continues to trend in a positive direction, says Jeter.

Jeter and Sweigert launched their practice in March of 2007. In 2018, they bought an old house with a lot next to it and have been going through the slow process of demolishing, rezoning, and removing basalt rock to create a level surface for the development, says Jeter.

Acceleration Therapy hopes to finish the foundation before the snow sets in, but most likely will begin construction next spring and complete the project by year-end 2022, Jeter says.
