Cd’A Tractor expands with new Colville location
Farm equipment company opens fifth storeAugust 3rd, 2023
Coeur d’Alene Tractor Co. has opened a new Adams Tractor store in Colville, Washington, about 65 miles north of downtown Spokane.
The new agricultural equipment and services store is in an old LaDuke & Fogle Equipment Inc. building on 4 acres along U.S. 395, says Matt Adams, general manager for the company’s five locations. Dubbed Adams Tractor in Colville, the retail store has five employees and is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., says Adams.
“We saw (Colville) as a great opportunity to help people in that area and bring our products and services closer to them,” he says.
Coeur d’Alene Tractor purchased the property from LaDuke & Fogle for $900,000, says Adams.
About $40,000 worth of renovations were performed on the new store, says Adams, including removing offices to make space for an open showroom floor, building a new parts counter, repainting, and adding new floors.
The projected annual revenue for Coeur d’Alene Tractor Co. is about $25 million, says Adams.
The company was established in Spokane in 1929 by Adams’ great-great grandfather, Don Adams, who was introduced to the idea of selling tractors by Henry Ford, says Adams. Today, the company’s core lines include Kubota tractors, by the Japanese company Kubota Corp., and New Holland tractors by New Holland Agriculture, of New Holland, Pennsylvania. The company also carries lawn and garden equipment, outdoor power equipment, and provides tractor repair services.
Coeur d’Alene Tractor’s other stores are in Spokane; Coeur d’Alene; Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and Lewiston, Idaho.
