A new tavern called Happy Trails to Brews is coming to 9025 N. Indian Trail Road in northwest Spokane.

William Reeve, who co-owns the business with his wife, Danielle, says Happy Trails plans to open later this month in a 1,400-square-foot space last occupied by a Benniditos Pizza.

“We don’t yet have a date, but we’re hoping to be open before the new year,” he says.

Reeve says the space is currently undergoing a remodel, with Spokane-based Local Enhancements LLC serving as contractor.

“We’ll have a concrete bar, bench, and table seating,” he says. “Everything in here will also be ADA compliant. That was very important to us, as we have family who are disabled, and we wanted to be an inclusive place.”

Reeve says he previously had aspired to open a barbecue restaurant but was inspired by friends in the beer industry to open a tavern instead.

He says Happy Trails will sell beer, wine, and cider, but will not offer food items.

“We’ll also be selling bottles and allow customers to fill up growlers from the taps,” he says.

Reeve says he will be the tavern’s bartender and sole employee.

As a resident of the neighborhood, Reeve says he hopes the tavern will bring a friendly bar atmosphere to the area.

“Our goal is to provide a great atmosphere, a place where people can come to relax and enjoy a pint,” he says.
