Journal of Business selects its inaugural Icons class
Honorees to be recognized at lunch event in FebruaryJanuary 17th, 2019
The Journal of Business has selected seven Spokane-area business legends to comprise its inaugural class of Icons.
The inaugural class is:
•Dave Clack, formerly of Old National Bank;
•Harlan Douglass, of Douglass Properties;
•LeRoy Nosbaum, formerly of Liberty Lake-based meter reading technology manufacturer Itron Inc.;
•Paul Redmond, formerly of Washington Water Power, which is now Avista Corp.
•Larry Stanley, formerly of Empire Bolt & Screw Inc.
•Bill and Judi Williams, formerly of Liberty Lake-based telecommunication equipment maker Telect Inc.
The Journal selected the Icons out of a group of more than 50 nominations contributed late last year by Journal readers.
To be considered, Icons candidates have to be 70 years old or older and retired or no longer involved in day-to-day operations. Also, the Icons awards aren’t given posthumously, so the candidates must be living.
The honorees will be recognized at the Journal’s Icons lunch event from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 27, at the John C. Hemmingson Center, on the Gonzaga University campus. Individual tickets are $40 each, with tables of 10 on sale for $380.
The event is one of five events the Journal plans to host this year. Others include the Workforce Summit, on April 24; Women in Leadership, on June 5; Rising Stars, in September; and Best Places To Work, on Oct. 9.
