A Boise-based addiction and mental health treatment company has opened a center in the Spokane area specifically for adolescents.

Imagine by Northpoint has opened at 924 S. Pines, in Spokane Valley.

Northpoint Recovery LLC operates adult and adolescent treatment facilities in Washington, Idaho, Colorado, and Nebraska. The company’s facilities include Imagine by Northpoint centers, which are for adolescents ages 12 to 17 in need of addiction and mental health treatment.

Haley Randolph, corporate director of marketing for Northpoint, says the company scouted the Spokane area as a potential site for a new Imagine center and found a need for its services.

“Based on the feedback from the Spokane community, we felt adolescent mental health services are underserved there,” Randolph says.

Randolph says assessments have begun, and Imagine’s partial hospitalization program will begin treating patients on Monday, Aug. 29.

After an assessment, each patient receives treatment tailored to their needs, which could include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, medication management, and family counseling. Imagine offers crisis intervention services for adolescents experiencing increased psychiatric symptoms or suicidal or homicidal thoughts.

Nine people have been hired to staff the center, and there are open positions for the roles of registered nurse, psychiatric provider, and counselor.
