Boise, Idaho-based Western States Equipment Co. plans to build a 127,400-square-foot heavy equipment dealership in Liberty Lake, according to planning documents on file with the city.

Site plans show the heavy equipment dealer is planning a four-building complex at 20150 E. Cataldo, in Liberty Lake.

The project includes a 106,000-sq–uare-foot, two-story main building; a 10,700-square-foot, two-story rental building, a single-story, 8,400-square-foot wash and paint building, and 680 square feet of smaller outbuildings buildings across 21.5-acres of its 30-acre property there.

A representative of the project couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.

Included in the main building is a 15,900-square-foot hydraulic and specialized service shop, a 15,900-square-foot parts warehouse, a 46,200-square-foot equipment shop, 5,700-square-foot dock, and an over 10,000-square-foot lobby.

At least 56 customer parking stalls, and 60 employee parking stalls with dedicated electric vehicle charging stations are planned, site plans show. An environmental checklist prepared by Boise-based Glancey Rockwell & Associates Inc. states the facility will have 176 parking stalls in total.

Other site improvements include landscaping and an employee walking loop.

The company has applied for grading permits. Site work and building construction are expected to begin in August, with construction slated to wrap up in early February 2022.

No project valuation was indicated in the documents.

The project will include extending Cataldo Street and vacating of a portion of Harvest Parkway Court, plans note.

The facility will be built by Bouten Construction Co., of Spokane. Boise-based Glancey Rockwell & Associates is the project architect.

Western States Equipment purchased the three-parcel property last August for $6.4 million, according to Spokane County Assessor’s Office records.

The facility will be located immediately east of Camping World, and south of the Hub Sports Center.

Western States Equipment Co. has 17 locations throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon.

The company has a total of over 1,000 employees, according to its website.
