Medical office building planned in Liberty Lake
Plans include attached coffee shop, drive-thruNovember 21st, 2018
A new medical building with an attached coffee shop is planned for a 1.24-acre site at 22011 E. Country Vista Drive in Liberty Lake, city of Liberty Lake building records show.
Plans show the project will include a two-story, 11,000-square-foot medical building with an attached 1,200-square-foot coffee house near the intersection of Country Vista Drive and north Stanford Lane.
Predevelopment plans show the project is being developed by a local group of investors called 22011 E. Country Vista LLC.
Christopher Arkoosh, owner of Spokane-based coffee shop chain Wake Up Call, who’s listed as a contact for the Country Vista group, says he plans to open his ninth Wake Up Call coffee shop in the building’s coffee house space.
“We’re still planning all the details, but this will be one of our biggest locations so far,” he says. “We hope to use this space to focus on some alternative brewing methods. It should be a lot of fun, so we’re really excited.”
Although he declines to disclose the group’s ownership partners, Arkoosh says the building’s remaining two tenants will be Liberty Lake Eyecare Center and Casey Family Dental, which will occupy the first and second floor spaces respectively.
Arkoosh says Spokane-based Yost Gallagher Construction will serve as contractor on the project, and construction is expected to begin soon.
Evan Verduin, of Spokane-based Trek Architecture, is the lead designer for the project, which he says is valued at about $1.75 million.
“The building will have about 6,900 square feet of medical office space on the first floor, and 4,188 square feet of office space on the second floor,” he says.
Verduin says the planned coffee house attachment with a drive-thru will be located on the east side of the building’s ground floor.
“The design process is nearly completed, so the project should be able to break ground fairly soon,” he says. “I’m guessing the building should be ready to open midsummer of 2019.”
