New business park planned in Valley

Woodruff Business Park to include two buildings; work to start this spring

February 26, 1997
Linn Parish

B-4 Properties LLC, a company here owned by Spokane contractor Eric Brown and his wife, Lisa, plans to develop a business park on five acres in the Spokane Valley.

The development, which is to be named Woodruff Business Park, will be located at the northwest corner of Woodruff Road and Knox Avenue, cater-cornered from International Gateway Corporate Park, which is visible from Interstate 90.

Eric Brown says Woodruff Business Park will include twin 22,000-square-foot office-and-warehouse buildings. Work on the first of those buildings, which is expected to cost $1 million, is scheduled to start late this month and be completed in September.

A start date for the second structure hasnt been set yet, and likely will depend on how quickly tenants are secured for the first building, he says.

Brown Contracting & Development Corp., which the Browns started about a year ago, will be the general contractor for the project, and Denny Christenson & Associates, of Spokane, designed it.

B-4 Properties hasnt hired a real estate agent to market the property yet. Brown Contracting plans to occupy 2,500 square feet of floor space in the building, but the B-4 Properties hasnt landed tenants for the rest of the space.

Brown Contracting currently is located in a 2,500-square-foot building at 2610 N. Van Marter.
