The Spokane-based Inland Northwest Community Foundation says it has established the Roger and Mona Crawford Family Foundation, using a $1.98 million gift from that couple.
Roger Crawford is founder and president of Thermoguard Insulation Co. and Thermoguard Equipment Inc., both of Spokane Valley.
"This new fund allows our family to become partners with Inland Northwest Community Foundation in awarding grants and scholarships," Crawford says. "We can now convene meetings with our children and grandchildren to recommend grant awards without worrying about the complex legal issues involved with a freestanding family foundation."
Mark Hurtubise, the Inland Northwest Community Foundation's president and CEO, says, "This gift is a celebration for Eastern Washington and North Idaho. The Crawford family is now able to build a legacy for their descendants and the community that will significantly impact our region in a very positive way."
Founded in 1974, INWF serves 20 counties in Washington and Idaho.
