Used car dealers to launch new Post Falls operations

Owners expect to open business in early January

December 21, 2017

Big Sky Auto Wholesale LLC has leased 2,300 square feet of office and warehouse space at 867 N. Boulder Court, in Post Falls, where it plans to open its first dealership, says co-owner Hunter Scoffield.

The company moved into the space in November and hopes to open the business the first of next year, says Scoffield.

He and co-owner Michael Montee currently are the only employees, he says.

Big Sky Auto Wholesale will sell used cars at wholesale price, Scoffield claims.

Scoffield, who’s worked in the industry for over three years, says one reason he decided join Montee in opening Big Sky Auto Wholesale is that it’s been a good year for the economy. He also asserts they can operate a dealership with a lower pricing structure.

“I’ve seen dealers mark stuff up $6,000 to $10,000, and I don’t see why they need to do that,” he claims.

Big Sky Auto Wholesale LLC will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneidmiller Realty, handled the lease.

Investment

Burke’s Klein’s DKI, a Post Falls property restoration company, has purchased nearly an acre of commercial land from David Nibarger on west Riverbend Avenue, in Post Falls, across the street from the company’s main office at 3880 W. Riverbend. Dale Rainey, of Rainey Real Estate Inc., represented the buyer, and Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Commercial Scheidmiller Realty, represented the seller.

Norstan Communications Inc., a Minnetonka, Minn.-based telecommunications service provider that does business as Black Box Network Services, has leased 3,200 square feet of space at 3707 E. Decatur, where it plans to move its Spokane-area operations next year from larger quarters at 55 E. Lincoln Road. Erik Nelson, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., and Doug Byrd and Cassandra Becker, both of Byrd Real Estate Group LLC, handled the transaction.

Property management company ABC Management has leased 1,500 square feet of office space at 1397 Biztown Loop, in Hayden, where it has moved from smaller quarters in Post Falls. Sunset, in Coeur d’Alene, and moved its Coeur d’Alene operations there from larger quarters at 1323 Sherman.
