Topgolf’s plans for a new 35,000-square-foot entertainment facility are moving forward following the company's October purchase of 11 acres of land along Interstate 90, in Liberty Lake.
The purchase was facilitated through Topgolf USA SPK LLC, a subsidiary entity established to manage the Spokane development, says Jim Quigley, managing real estate broker at Kiemle Hagood.
Kiemle Hagood represented the seller — Kirkland, Washington-based Liberty Lake Land Co. LLC — in the sale, where Quigley served as the lead broker for the sale.
The final sale price is unavailable, as Quigley declines to disclose the figure and Spokane County tax records do not currently list it.
Located at 21101 E. Country Vista Drive, Topgolf's newly acquired property sits in the northwest corner of a larger 27-acre parcel, Quigley says. True Line Surveying LLC, of Hayden, submitted an updated binding site plan application to separate the single property into nine separate parcels in July. That application is awaiting approval by the city of Liberty Lake, according to permit information on the city’s website.
Quigley plans to turn the remaining eight parcels into commercial space, noting he's under contract with Liberty Lake Land Co. for the 1- to 3-acre lots, he says. He declines to disclose the expected purchase price of the remaining parcels.
Six of the parcels are located directly south of the Topgolf-owned site and border East Country Vista Drive, according to Spokane County Assessor’s Office records. Two larger parcels lie to the east of the future Topgolf property.
Topgolf representatives have been planning to develop a site in Spokane County for seven years, Quigley says, adding that the company has been working out a deal with Quigley and Liberty Lake Land Co. for the last two years.
Building permit information for the proposed facility was filed November 2025 by developers known for their work on other Topgolf locations around the country, the Journal previously reported.
Before the permit approval, the city must OK the updated binding site plan, says Liberty Lake Mayor Cris Kaminskas in an October email to the Journal. Once that happens, the city will issue grading permits and construction can begin.
Depending on timing, those permits could be issued by the end of this year or in 2027, she says.
Downers Grove, Illinois-based ARCO/Murray National Construction Co. — a national design-build general contractor for Topgolf, that has built over 90 Topgolf facilities — is listed as both the applicant and the contractor on the permit application.
ARCO/Murray previously considered the same property for development two years ago, but plans fell through around the time Carlsbad, California-based Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp. announced plans to split the business into two separate companies, the Journal previously reported.
Golf equipment company Callaway originally announced it would purchase Topgolf Entertainment Group in October 2020. The two companies completed the merger in March 2021.
