The Inland Northwest Multimedia Users Group will hold a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Sirti Board Room at 665 N. Riverpoint Blvd., in Spokane. Guest speaker Eric Stanley will give a presentation on ColdFusion 9.



The Spokane branch of the American Association of University Women will celebrate its 100th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to about 2 p.m. at the Davenport Hotel, 10 S. Post, in Spokane. National AAUW President Carolyn Garfein will attend, and a program titled A Century of Breaking Barriers is planned. The cost is $35, and the public is invited. The Spokane chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers will hold a Joint Meeting of Professional Societies on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at Northern Lights Brewing Co. Pub, 1003 E. Trent, in Spokane. Appetizers provided, no-host dinner and drinks available.



Spokane City Forum will hold a luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar, in Spokane. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Randy Dorn and Spokane Public Schools Superintendent Nancy Stowell will speak on Educational Excellence for AllThe Community's Role, The Educational System's Role. The Inland Northwest Lean Management Consortium will hold a series of events with guest speaker Durward Sobek, of Montana State University, and the Lean Product & Process Development Exchange Inc., of Camas, Wash. Executive Round Table: Leading the Lean Enterprise will be on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Spokane Club, 1002 W. Riverside, in Spokane. Getting Started With A3 Reports will be on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 8 a.m. to noon, and Introduction to Lean Product Development from 1 to 5 p.m., at CenterPlace, 2426 N.
