Inland Northwest Bank names new CEO

Fewel to retire next year

May 27, 2015
Staff Report

Inland Northwest Bank said this afternoon it has hired Russell A. Lee as its new president and CEO. Lee, who previously had been president and chief operating officer at Burlington, Wash.-based Skagit Bank, will start with INB on June 29.

Lee will replace Randall L. Fewel, who has been with INB for 22 years and served as its president and CEO since 2001. Fewel plans to retire in June of 2016. Until then, he will remain with INB’s parent company, Northwest Bancorporation Inc., as its president and CEO.

Fewel also will remain on the board of directors for both INB and the parent company now and following his retirement.

Lee has more than 35 years of financial service industry experience. Prior to leading Skagit Bank, he had served as president and COO of Bellingham, Wash.-based Peoples Bank.

Anthony Bonanzino, board chairman for both INB and the parent company, said in a release that Lee “brings a wealth of experience to the job, having previously served as president of two other community banks on the west side of our state. The board was particularly impressed with Mr. Lee’s vision for INB’s future.”
