Keystone Automotive plans big West Plains distribution facility

.

March 11, 2015
Staff Report

Keystone Automotive Operations Inc., an Exeter, Pa.-based wholesale distributor and marketer of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories, is building a 250,000-square-foot warehouse distribution building on the West Plains and plans to begin operations there by year-end, says commercial real estate agent Vic Overholser, of SDS Realty Inc., in a press release.

Overholser says in the release that Garco Construction Inc., of Spokane, is constructing the facility along Hallett Road, south of the Interstate 90-Medical Lake interchange. He cites the new facility’s proximity to the 572,000-square-foot Caterpillar center and says, “That facility, along with Keystone’s choice to move here, tells us that Spokane is a strategic location for distribution.”

He adds, “Robin Toth at GSI was helpful in bringing together all of the entities involved with permitting. Her assistance saved valuable time in the pre-development process.”

Keystone expects to hire 60 people to work in the West Plains facility by the end of the year, the release says.

Currently, Keystone operates six warehouses and 44 “non-inventory stocking cross-docks” in the U.S. and Canada. The company offers more than 300,000 parts from 800 suppliers, and delivers in the continental 48 states, nine Canadian provinces, and ships to 40 countries.
