Aspen Way Enterprises Inc., a Billings, Mont.-based franchisee for Aaron's Inc. furniture, electronics, and appliance stores, plans to move its Spokane Valley outlet to a new location in the Argonne Village Shopping Center by this fall.
The Aaron's outlet will vacate its current location in Opportunity Shopping Center, at the northwest corner of Pines Road and Sprague Avenue, by October, Aaron's general manager Josh Ruddell says. He says Aaron's is the last business remaining in that Opportunity retail center that previously included outlets of Rite Aid Corp., Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts, and Old Country Buffet as tenants.
Christin Pfau, Aspen Way Enterprises' vice president of administration and real estate, says the outlet will move from about 10,100 square feet at the Opportunity center to about 7,600 square feet at the Argonne site. She says the planned store relocation is tied to wanting to increase visibility for the outlet in a shopping center that has more foot traffic.
"If you're traveling east on Sprague, you can't see our location because of Chase Bank," Ruddell says. Chase Bank fronts Sprague along with a few other small buildings along the western edge of the parking lot.
Argonne Village, at 9211 E. Montgomery, has a Yoke's Fresh Market store, Timber Creek Grill Buffet, and Ambrosia Bistro & Wine Bar among its tenants.
Pfau says Aspen Way Enterprises Inc., which does business as Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership, operates three Aaron's stores in the Spokane area. Along with the Spokane Valley store, it has outlets at 3611 E. Sprague and at 9312 N. Division. Overall, Aspen Way Enterprises has 19 Aaron's outlets spread across six states.
