Location will be fourth for company in Spokane County

A new equipment rental store, A to Z Airway Heights, is proposed on the West Plains, according to permit documents on file with the city of Airway Heights.

A to Z Airway Heights LLC has recently applied for a new commercial building permit for the construction of a 4,800-square-foot retail store, with parking and a storage yard.

The project will be located at 11109 W. state Route 2, in Airway Heights.

A representative of A to Z Rentals LLC, an affiliated Spokane Valley company, couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.

Rex Anderson, of Fusion Architecture, of Spokane, is providing architectural services for the project. Long Construction Inc., of Clayton, Washington, is listed as the contractor on permit information. DCI Engineers, headquartered in Seattle, is the project engineer.

Anderson declines to disclose the construction value of the project but says the company currently is in negotiations with the contractor.

The property was purchased by A to Z Airway Heights in November for $925,000, according to Washington state Department of Revenue records.

The new store will be the fourth A to Z Rentals location in Spokane County. A to Z Rentals also operates three stores in North Idaho, according to the company’s website.

The rental chain was founded in the 1960s and is headquartered at 10903 E. Sprague, in Spokane Valley. A to Z Rentals has 50 full-time employees, according to the Journal’s most recent Heavy-Equipment Dealers list, published last month.
