Mother Bear’s Bakery is expanding into a larger North Spokane location giving the family-owned business more room to prepare food, display baked goods, and grow its menu after exceeding capacity at its previous storefront. 

Emily Peterson is applying the finishing touches to HoneySpell Cafe, a North Spokane fantasy-inspired cafe expected to open in September with a business model built around coffee, community events, and lessons learned from running Page 42 Bookstore.

Capitol Bar & Grill in Spokane Valley opened on Friday, Aug. 7, and has been packed with patrons every day since.
