The Spokane Leadership Breakfast will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., at the Spokane Convention Center, 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. The Boy Scouts of America Inland Northwest Council will host the event. Call 242-8238 for information.



The Home-Based Business Connection will meet for a presentation titled Regroup, Recharge, Return, on Tuesday, March 3, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at the Spokane Regional Business Center, 801 W. Riverside. There is no cost to attend. Call 459-4118 for information.



The city of Spokane Valley will present its State of the City Address on Wednesday, March 4, at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place. The 2009 Women's Leadership Conference of the Inland Northwest will be held on Friday, March 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Spokane Community College, 1810 N. Greene. San Diego State University professor and author Jean Twenge will present a program titled "Generation to Generation." The cost is $35. Call 313-3575 for information.

Meetings & Events
The Spokane Arts Commission will host an Arts-Media Meet & Greet on Friday, Feb. 27, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Spokane City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. A panel of media professionals from broadcast, print, and alternative media will address tools that can be used to promote the arts. The National Seminars Training Group will present The Essentials of OSHA Compliance, on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 3-4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at the Hampton Inn Spokane, 2010 S. Assembly, at a cost of $399. Additionally, the group will present How to Handle Conflict and Confrontation, on Friday, March 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Mirabeau Park Hotel, 1100 N. SCORE, Counselors to America's Small Business, will present How to Start a New Business, on Wednesday, March 4, and How to Write a Business Plan, on Wednesday, March, 11. The Washington state Procurement Technical Assistance Center will present an online government registrations workshop, on Thursday, March 5, from 8:30 to 11 a.m., at TierPoint LLC's Liberty Lake office, 23403 E. Mission. Businesses seeking assistance completing their central contractor registration, state vendor registration, or registering for the SBA's dynamic search service are encouraged to attend.
