Boise-based law firm Hawley Troxell Ennis & Hawley LLP is forming an immigration law practice group that’s based at its Inland Northwest offices. 

Attorney Alycia Moss has closed her practice, Moss Immigration Law PC, and joined Troxell as a partner. 

Moss will split her time between Hawley Troxell’s downtown Spokane office, located on the 11th floor of the U.S. Bank Building, at 422 W. Riverside, and the Coeur d’Alene office, at 608 Northwest Boulevard.

As an immigration attorney, Moss works with federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Department of State, she says. Her areas of emphasis include assisting clients with citizenship, permanent resident cards known as green cards, investor and entrepreneurial visas, work visas, student visas, asylum, deportation defense, and appeals, among other areas.

Moss says she looks forward to expanding the immigration practice area of Hawley Troxell to include trained attorneys at the practice’s other locations in Yakima, Washington; Boise, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello, Idaho; and Reno, Nevada.

She says the firm has already hired an associate attorney who will start in October in the Boise office.

“My goal is to build this practice group in every location,” she says.

Moss is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law and is licensed in Canada to practice Canadian Immigration law. In 2018, she opened her own practice in which she was the sole attorney with offices in Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and Driggs, Idaho. Two former staff members of Moss Immigration Law have followed her to Hawley Troxell.

As earlier reported by the Journal, Hawley Troxell acquired 138-year-old Spokane law firm Witherspoon Kelley, taking over Witherspoon Kelley’s Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and Yakima offices on Jan. 1.
