Spokane Valley-based Numerica Credit Union plans to develop a full-service branch in Liberty Lake.

The branch, to be located at 21915 E. Country Vista Drive, will be the organization's first in Liberty Lake, and 15th in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area, according to a press release issued by Numerica. The new branch will occupy a portion of the same building as the Palenque Mexican Restaurant and will feature a 24-hour exterior ATM, a night drop, and a modern architectural style.

An official opening date hasn't been determined yet.

Carla Cicero, Numerica president and CEO, says the new location is in keeping with the credit union’s aim of reaching members where they are, allowing them to meet their financial needs with convenience and accessibility.

“With this new location being centrally located in Liberty Lake, we look forward to being a part of and increasing our service to the community,” Cicero says in the release.

Andy Stirling, senior vice president of retail experience, adds, “Numerica is excited about the opportunity to serve new and existing members with this Liberty Lake branch.”

Earlier this year, Numerica opened a newly constructed branch at 6281 N. Maple, near the Five Mile Shopping Center on Spokane's North Side. Spokane-based Bernardo Wills designed the 3,000-square-foot, single story branch, and Spokane-based Leone & Keeble Inc. was the contractor on the $1.9 million project.

Numerica Credit Union currently operates 21 branches across Central Washington, Eastern Washington, and North Idaho. Headquartered in Spokane Valley, the credit union has over 170,000 members and $5 billion in assets under management. In February, it was named one of America’s Best Regional Credit Unions, according to Newsweek Magazine.
