Advanced Dermatology & Skin Surgery PLLC has opened its fourth Inland Northwest location, at 3010 S. Southeast Blvd., on Spokane’s South Hill.

The new clinic began serving patients on Oct. 1.

Dr. Staci Hestdalen, a board-certified dermatologist at Advanced Dermatology, says the organization draws a lot of patients from the South Hill area, and the new clinic will provide them with more convenient access to services.

“The South Hill office has been long overdue,” says Hestdalen, who has been with Advanced Dermatology for 20 years.

Founded in 1991, Advanced Dermatology’s other offices are located at 5905 N. Mayfair, in North Spokane; 1807 N. Hutchinson Road, in Spokane Valley; and 1700 W. Riverstone, in Coeur d’Alene.

Hestdalen says demand for dermatologic care has been increasing in Spokane, partly due to population growth in the area.

“I think there are a lot of people who are retiring from other places and moving to our area,” Hestdalen says. “Naturally, that age population requires more dermatologic care.”

The nearly 20,000-square-foot South Hill facility features eight exam rooms and two procedure rooms. In addition to Hestdalen, two physician assistants and one master aesthetician work at the clinic. It has 15 total employees.

Across the entire organization, Advanced Dermatology has eight board-certified dermatologists, five physician assistants, four advanced registered nurse practitioners, two master aestheticians, and a support staff of about 80 employees.

“With that expansion, we are always looking to add quality team members,” Hestdalen says.

The South Hill clinic offers a wide range of services, including cosmetic surgery, medical dermatology, skin cancer treatments, cosmetic injections, facials, skin tightening, and patch testing.

“We’re looking to expand our clinical studies program, our patch-testing program. We have a cosmetic component to our practice that we’re expanding up here,” Hestdalen says.

Advanced Dermatology’s South Hill office operates 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday.
