Anderson Peretti CPA firm acquires Spokane-based practice

Valley-based company now has four branch offices

January 18, 2018

Spokane Valley-based accounting firm Anderson Peretti & Co. CPAs PS has acquired Blodgett & Co. CPAs.

Erica Young, vice president at Anderson Peretti, says all six employees with Blodgett & Co. will remain with the firm, including Dave Blodgett, who founded Blodgett & Co. in 1999 and now will work in a certified public accountant capacity.

Blodgett says, “It was important to me to find another firm that shared my deep personal commitment to clients. As the process of combining our practices progressed, it was clear that we had much in common. In many business mergers, the concern is to add more clients, but in this case, the needs of those clients—and the staff of both firms—was our top priority.”

Young estimates that Anderson Peretti will employ about 22 people for the tax season. The firm was listed in the Journal’s 2017 list of accounting firms as having 16 total employees.

Anderson Peretti, which was founded in 1969, now has four offices in all.

In addition to the company’s Spokane Valley and St. Maries, Idaho, branches, Anderson Peretti will also operate from Blodgett & Co.’s former Spokane and Nine Mile Falls offices.

Anderson Peretti’s three shareholders are CPAs Bob Sanders, Elias Siriani, and Young. Young declines to disclose terms of the transaction.
