Lakewood, Wash.-based Golden Services LLC says it has acquired the Spokane Valley operations of Lile Moving & Storage, located at 11016 E. Montgomery.

Golden Services branch manager Matt Cortez says the acquisition occurred on June 30. Cortez says he doesn’t know terms of the transaction, but the assets that Golden Services acquired included Lile’s fleet of 16 moving trucks and moving equipment.

“This office was once Lile, and Golden Services acquired it all. All (Lile) employees were given the opportunity to stay with the company, and most of us did,” he says.

Golden Services here now has 26 employees at the Spokane Valley operation, Cortez says.

Founded in 1959, Lile International Co. now only operates locations in Western Washington and Western Oregon. Golden Services’ Spokane Valley location is now its first foothold in Eastern Washington. Both companies specialize in residential moving services and office and industrial moving services.

Cortez says Lile and Golden Services had a working relationship with each other when Lile operated here.
