| Eric Hedlund Designs LLCConstruction of a new $3.5 million hangar is underway at the StanCraft Jet Center, a full-service fixed base operator at the Coeur d’Alene Airport, says Joe Rosetti, general manager of the StanCraft Jet Center.
Hayden-based Wood Boat Builders LLC, which does business as StanCraft Construction Group, is the contractor. Coeur d’Alene-based Eric Hedlund Design LLC is the architect, Rosetti says.
Located at 3465 W. Gulfstream Road, in Hayden, the StanCraft Jet Center includes a 30,000-square-foot hangar and provides core services for private jets, including refueling, hangar space, and concierge services. The jet center is also a U.S. Customs and Border Protection User Fee Facility allowing it to process international aircraft arrivals, he says.
The new building will be the jet center’s second hangar. As planned, the building will have 21,600 square feet of space, including a 750-square-foot office and a 700-square-foot garage, he says. Construction is expected to be complete in 2027, he says.
“We’ll be able to put our base tenant aircraft there or transient aircraft that are here for a short stay and just want to get out of the weather or sunshine and can be tucked away in a safe space,” says Rosetti.
The jet center has been successfully providing a high level of service to its clients since its founding in 2018, he says, adding the company has secured several awards and other honors over the past year.
Aviation International News, an industry publication focused on global business and civil aviation sectors, named StanCraft Jet Center within the top 5% of fixed base operators in the country. The company also was named a top fixed base operator in Idaho, best facility for fixed base operators in the U.S., and a top fixed base operator for passenger amenities in the U.S., Rosetti says.
In March, a fueling contract was awarded by the Defense Logistics Agency, authorizing the facility to provide fuel service to the U.S. military and Department of Defense aircraft, Rosetti adds. The contract additionally positions the jet center to provide fueling for wildfire response aircraft operating in the Pacific Northwest, including large air tankers, lead planes, rotorcraft, and command craft.
