Dermatology clinic prepares for move to new location

Surgery center to offer outpatient procedures

July 20, 2017

Dermatology Specialists PLLC of Spokane is moving from the Providence Medical Center Building at 820 S. McClellan to 510 S. Cowley on Spokane’s lower South Hill.

Dermatology Specialists has been at its current location since 1987, says Charlie Reed, the clinic’s business manager.

“We occupy space on both the first and fourth floors at the (Providence) medical building. It just makes perfect sense for employees and customers to be in one location,” Reed says.

Staff will begin the move on July 21 with the goal of being open for business on July 25. Reed says the new location, with 11,000 square feet of space, will be better for both employees and patients.

At the Providence Medical Center Building, Dermatology Specialists occupies a total of 9,500-square feet of space on the two floors.

Within Dermatology Specialists, Dr. Cameron Chesnut operates Chesnut Institute of Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery LLC.

In preparation for the move, Chesnut Institute invested $1.2 million in a 2,500-square-foot ambulatory surgery center at the Cowley location.

Dermatology Specialists employs a staff of 50, including three medical doctors, three physician assistants, and a licensed nurse practitioner.
