Interstate Concrete secures site in Colville

Company, Knife River have asset exchange

March 30, 2017

Rathdrum-based Interstate Concrete & Asphalt Co. says it has acquired a new location in Colville as part of what it calls “an exchange of assets” with Knife River Corp.

The Colville site becomes Interstate Concrete’s second location in Eastern Washington, with the other located in Elk, Wash., the company’s website says.

Knife River Corp. is based in Bismarck, N.D., and provides construction materials and contracting services in 19 states.

In a letter to its customers, Interstate says, “We’re excited to provide paving services, aggregate, and asphalt in Colville, Wash. Pricing for current work under contract with Knife River will be honored.”

Company representatives couldn’t be reached for comment.

The Colville gravel site and asphalt plant is located at 485 Spanish Prairie Road, and products available there include aggregate and asphalt paving, says the company’s website.
