The accounting firm that formerly operated here for many years as Heiskell MacGillivray & Associates PS has a new name, new logo, and new shareholder.
The firm recently changed its name to HMA CPA PS, redesigned its logo, and launched a new website to reflect the changes. Laura Hays is the new shareholder, joining Lenore Romney and Kevin Sell in that capacity, Sell says. Hays joined the firm in 2012 as a senior manager.
Located in a two-story, 8,000-square-foot building at 1516 W. Riverside, HMA employs 14 people, including 10 CPAs, and provides a range of services in public and private accounting, audits, and litigation support, Sell says.
Doug Heiskell and Andy MacGillivray founded the firm as Heiskell & MacGillivray in 1981. Romney joined the firm in the 1990s when it merged with Anderson ZurMuehlen, an accounting and business advisory firm based in Helena, Mont., and she became a shareholder during that time, Sell says. The firm separated from Anderson ZurMuehlen in 2002, changing its name to Heiskell MacGillivray & Associates PS, and Sell became a shareholder in 2010.
