Alliant acquires second Spokane insurance brokerage

National firm bought Moloney+O'Neill last fall

March 4, 2015
Staff Report

Alliant Insurance Services, the Newport Beach, Calif.-based insurance broker, announced this morning that it has acquired Kassa Insurance Services Inc., a Spokane-based insurance agency that provides personal lines and commercial insurance products.

Alliant declined to disclose the terms of the transaction.

The acquisition is Alliant’s second in the Spokane market in the past six months. Last September, the company acquired the Moloney+O’Neill insurance and employee-benefits brokerage here.

Located at 6607 N. Ash on Spokane’s North Side, Kassa will operate as part of the Alliant Americas division, which was launched in January 2014 to provide mid-sized businesses with insurance products and services.

Alliant Americas President Sean McConlogue said in a press release that Kassa has a sound reputation and “intimate understanding” of the Eastern Washington and North Idaho markets.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to acquiring regional, like-minded organizations with a proven track record of success serving the Inland Northwest business community,” McConlogue said.

Alliant Insurance Services has more than 26,000 clients nationwide, including public entities, tribes, health care organizations, energy concerns, and those working in a number of other industries.
