North Town Insurance opens office in Hayden

Location is fourth overall, first outside of the state

February 26, 2015

Swiss Valley Agency, a Spokane-based independent property/casualty, life, health, and business insurance company doing business as North Town Insurance, is expanding with a new office in North Idaho, says Lisa LeBlanc, North Town agency manager.

The company has leased about 1,400 square feet at 279 Prairie Shopping Center Drive and opened the office there to serve clients in Hayden, Post Falls, and Coeur d’Alene. The new location is its fourth overall and its first outside of Washington state.

The agency, owned by company CEO Bourke Owens, wanted to expand, and Hayden complemented the company’s community–oriented business model, LeBlanc says.

“It’s closer to clients in North Idaho as well,” she says.

North Town’s main Spokane office is located in about 2,000 square feet of space at 5727 N. Division where it has 11 employees. Owens opened that office in 1989.

It also operates offices in the Spokane Valley Mall, where there are three employees, and in Lake Stevens, near Seattle, where it also has three employees. Both the Spokane Valley and the Lake Stevens offices have about 800 square feet.

LeBlanc says the Hayden office is staffed by two people, one person who transferred from the North Division office and another new hire from the Hayden area.
