Rainmaker Creative to open office in Bay Area

Firm eyes 20 percent jump in revenue with expansion

July 3, 2014

Rainmaker Creative, a Spokane-based design and marketing firm, plans to open an office in Cupertino, Calif., to serve current clients there and to develop new business, says Billie Gaura, who owns Rainmaker with her husband, Kevin.

Gaura says the new office, due to open in September, will function as an extension of the main operation located in Spokane, located on the ground floor of the Eldridge Building, at 107 S. Cedar downtown. The company occupies about 2,000 square feet there and employs 10 people, seven full time and three part time, in addition to the owners. Rainmaker also has a satellite office in Coeur d’Alene at 1710 N. Fourth, with less than 500 square feet of space, where one employee works once a week.

The company, in business for almost eight years, is leasing about 500 square feet of space, with a shared conference room, mail room and receptionist, at 19925 Stevens Creek in Cupertino. It will add two full-time employees at the new office, but Gaura says she expects to double the number of employees there within 18 months.

“Right now, we have six clients in the Silicon Valley,” Gaura says.

Gaura says the company expects the new location to boost the firm’s revenue by 20 percent.

Rainmaker Creative works with small businesses to develop brands, websites, and strategies to target the businesses’ niche clientele.
