The Spokane Regional Marketing & Communications Association will host a meeting at which RESCUE! Greater Spokane Incorporated will hold its 27th Annual AGORA Awards on Wednesday, May 30, from 7 to 9:30 a.m., at the Davenport Hotel, 10 S. Post. The cost is $40. GSI also will hold a North Spokane Advisory Group meeting on Tuesday, June 5, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., at Windermere Real Estate North, 9017 N. The Association of Washington Business, in collaboration with Greater Spokane Incorporated, will hold a gubernatorial debate and spring meeting here at the Bing Crosby Theater, 901 W. Sprague, on Tuesday, June 12, and Wednesday, June 13. Events on Tuesday include: Environmental excellence awards lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Attorney General Debate, King County Councilmen Reagan Dunn and Bob Ferguson will debate from 2 to 3 p.m.; Gubernatorial Debate, U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee and Washington state Attorney General Rob McKenna will debate from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; member reception from 4:45 to 6 p.m.; community service awards dinner from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; and sponsor VIP reception at 8:30 p.m. Events on Wednesday include a breakfast from 7 to 8 a.m. and a board meeting from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

Tincan, the nonprofit organization that uses information technology and interactive media for education and community development, will offer the following free technology training workshops: Photoshop 101, Wednesday, May 30, from 3 to 4 p.m.; Growing Your Business with SEO, Thursday, May 31, from 4 to 5 p.m.; Basic Internet, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Open Video Lab, Tuesdays, from 2 to 5 p.m. Workshops will be held at 1317 W.
