Homebuilder franchise here changes corporate affiliation

Lexar Homes replaces HiLine concern in Valley, retains its staff, suppliers

January 27, 2011
Mike McLean

All His Homes LLC, a Spokane Valley homebuilder, has changed its franchise affiliation and now does business as Lexar Homes of Spokane.

The company continues to work with the same staff, suppliers, and subcontractors, says Bob Oliver, who co-owns and manages the business with Don Kolcz.

For about a year prior to the change, the business had been affiliated with Puyallup, Wash.-based HiLine Homes. Oliver says several former HiLine affiliates have separated from that company and have joined Lexar Homes, which is based in Centralia, Wash., and has six franchise areas and two company-owned offices.

Lexar Homes of Spokane's franchise area is roughly within a 90-mile radius of Spokane and Spokane Valley, he says. Its construction office occupies 2,700 square feet of leased space at 15320 E. Marietta, and its sales office is housed in a 1,700-square-foot model home at 506 N. Vercler.

The company here has five employees and works with a number of subcontractors during home construction.

Specializing in constructing homes on land its customers own rather than developed lots, Lexar Homes offers 25 customizable floor plans that range in size from 800 square feet of floor space to more than 3,000 square feet of floor space, Oliver says.

With Lexar, the builders collectively buy construction materials in volume to reduce costs, he says.

Lexar's home prices start at about $48 a square foot, which is about half the national average for new-home construction, he says.

Lexar Homes of Spokane's staff and suppliers are trained in the company's energy-efficiency and sustainability programs, he says.
