LaunchPad Inland Northwest LLC will hold a free Spokane Area Blogs Community Event, on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., at The Apple Store, 710 W. Main, downtown. The Spokane chapter of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants will hold a meeting, titled 2010 Tax Update, on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from noon to 2 p.m., at the Spokane Club, 1002 W. The Spokane Home Builders Association will offer the class Houses That Work For Existing Homes, on Friday, Dec. 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at The Luxury Box, 10512 E. Sprague, in Spokane Valley. The cost is $140. It also will offer EPA Certified Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair, and Painting, on Tuesday, Dec. 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 5813 E. Fourth, in Spokane Valley. BizStreet, the small-business program of Greater Spokane Incorporated, will hold a free workshop, titled Networking: Building your Contacts and Growing Your Customer Base, on Tuesday, Dec. 7. BizStreet also will offer the workshop Federal Health Care Legislation and Your Small Business: Tax Hikes and Tax Breaks, on Tuesday, Dec. 14.
