Cd'A rental project gets under way

$632,000 initial half of apartment complex to be completed in May

November 18, 2010
Mike McLean

Glenn Sather, a Coeur d'Alene-based apartment broker and developer, has started building the first phase of a planned 16-unit apartment complex, to be named Haycraft Estates, in the Lake City.

The initial phase of the project is valued at $623,000. It will include eight apartment units in two two-story buildings, at 3364 and 3344 Glenn Drive, which are between Sixth Place and Seventh Street, just south of Haycraft Avenue, in northeast Coeur d'Alene.

BCR Land Services Inc., of Coeur d'Alene, is the contractor on the project, and Forte Architecture & Planning, also of Coeur d'Alene, designed it.

Sather says he hopes to target young professionals as tenants in the first phase, which is scheduled to be completed in May.

The second phase, which Sather hopes to launch within three years, will include eight units in two single-story fourplexes, and the target market for that phase likely will be seniors, he says.
