Copier dealer buys building, plans to relocate operations

Imagetech says structure on North Side is bigger than location in Valley

August 12, 2010
Kim Frlan

Imagetech, a vendor of copiers and other office machines here, plans to move this month from leased space at 15320 E. Marietta, in Spokane Valley, to a building it has bought at 1515 E. Houston, on Spokane's North Side.

The company's new 7,800-square-foot building will house its showroom, service department, offices, and warehouse space, says owner Peter Nauditt. Imagetech currently occupies 2,900 square feet of leased space on Marietta, and also leases two warehouses for its inventory, Nauditt says. All of its inventory will be moved to the new facility, he says.

"In the past 12 months, we've outgrown our current location. We need a larger facility," says Nauditt. "We made the decision to move to the North Side because the north-south freeway will give us good access, and most of our employees live in Spokane, not in the Valley."

The new location is two blocks north of Francis Avenue between Perry and Helena streets. Nauditt declines to disclose the purchase price of the building.

The company sells and services Savin, Panasonic, and KIP copiers. It also services other brands of copiers, and provides technical support for integrated computer systems, Nauditt says.

He says he believes the business has grown because customers like to work with a Spokane-based dealer, and because many businesses are upgrading to newer technology.

Imagetech has 12 full-time employees and may add two more after the move, Nauditt says.
