The Spokane Regional Transportation Council will hold three public roundtable meetings for its Regional Transportation Vision Project to identify needs for a future transportation system for the Spokane region. The first will be Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the West Central Community Center, at 1603 W. Belt. The two others will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. for seniors, and 6 to 8 p.m. for families, at the Corbin Senior Center, at 827 W. Cleveland. Greater Spokane Incorporated will host the second annual Regional Chambers' Business After Hours networking event on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., on the roof deck of the Spokane Convention Center, at 334 W. Greater Spokane Incorporated will host Teaching the Teachers Health-care Workshop July 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Valley Hospital & Medical Center, located at 12606 E. Mission in Spokane Valley, and at Apollo College, at 10102 E. Knox, in Spokane Valley. Participants will be exposed to health-care careers and learn about the direct correlation between the curriculum they offer in their classes and the skills needed in the health-care industry.
