Workshops & Seminars
The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) will hold a workshop, titled How to Start a New Business, on Wednesday, July 7, and another called How to Write a Business Plan, on Wednesday, July 14. Both workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Small Business Administration training room, 801 W. Riverside, in Spokane. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will host a free information session for employers on the E-Verify system, which lets employers check the work eligibility of newly hired workers online. MC Energy, in association with Avista Corp. and Northwest Farm Credit Services, will hold a non-commercial wind energy seminar on Friday, July 9, at 6:30 p.m., at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, at 2426 N. Discovery Place, in Spokane Valley. Presentations will address misconceptions regarding wind energy. The event is free to the public.
