Fit Flavors meal-delivery service opens in Spokane
~March 14th, 2019
Longtime friends Judy Cash and Celeste Estrada have opened Fit Flavors LLP, a new service based in northwest Spokane that prepares and delivers fresh, made-from-scratch meals.
Customers can select breakfast, lunch, and dinner options to be delivered twice a week.
The meals are prepared in 980 square feet of space at 1406 Northwest Blvd., which is leased from Scott Byers, owner of Crown Foods Inc., says Cash.
The business idea for Fit Flavors was born after Cash began making homemade meals for body builders at the behest of one of her friends, Theresa Stone, a member of the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness. Stone had complained about lack of time she had for food preparation. When Stone tried Cash’s cooking, she asked if Cash could provide meals for her that she could warm up throughout the week.
As the Fit Flavors concept evolved, Cash and Estrada put together a menu through which customers select a protein and a marinade flavor, such as smoky barbecue, fiesta lime, ginger teriyaki, or lightly seasoned.
Cash and Estrada will deliver the meals themselves twice weekly to residents of the Spokane area. In addition to its planned fare, Fit Flavors also will rotate specialty items on the menu every couple of weeks.
Cash says Fit Flavors is not only for body builders. It can be for busy moms, students, business professionals, or anyone looking to adhere to a consistent meal plan. Cash and Judy are the only employees, but they are open to hiring more if future demand will require it.
