Mallory Paint opens second store in Idaho

Mallory Paint Store Inc., a Woodinville, Washington-based store chain that retails Benjamin Moore brand paint, has opened a new store at 2611 N. Government Way, in Coeur d’Alene.

The company now operates 17 stores in Washington state and two in Idaho, with its first Idaho store located in Moscow.

Mallory Paint Stores’ two Spokane-area stores are at 512. W. Indiana, and the other at 14401 E. Sprague.

Sarah Ross, a Seattle-based Mallory Paint spokeswoman, says the Coeur d’Alene store opened Friday, June 12 with two employees, one of whom is store manager Jeff Reamer.

The Coeur d’Alene store is a 4,000-square-foot space that previously was occupied by a liquor store. Ross says the company did its own remodel of the space to convert it into a paint store.

“To us, it made sense to expand into North Idaho, where there are a growing number of residences that will need quality, specialty coatings like ours that are designed to withstand harsh weather environments.”

Ross says she expects the company will continue to expand in both Washington and Idaho, with its next store set to open in Lacey, Washington.
