January 16th, 2014Meridian Construction Inc., of Spokane Valley, is erecting two multitenant commercial structures at The CrossRoads Coeur d’Alene retail center in northwest Coeur d’Alene, says Mark D’Agostino, Meridian’s president.
The 16-acre CrossRoads Coeur d’Alene development is located at the northeast corner of Ramsey Road and Appleway Avenue.
One concrete-masonry-block structure is going up west of the WinCo Foods store and will be a $928,000, 10,500-square-foot building with up to nine retail bays, D’Agostino says.
Tenants there likely will include a Subway restaurant and a Supercuts haircut outlet, he says.
Meridian also is erecting a $630,000, 7,000-square-foot building on the west edge of the development, near Ramsey Road.
Tenants in that five-bay structure likely will include a Starbucks coffee shop and a Pita Pit restaurant, D’Agostino says.
Both buildings, which were designed by the Spokane Valley office of Boise-based CSHQA, are expected to be completed in April, he says.
Boise-based discount grocery chain WinCo Foods LLC opened an $8.5 million, 71,000-square-foot supermarket at 1485 W. Appleway in November. The WinCo store and parking lot take up 9 acres in the northeast section of the CrossRoads retail complex, which Hughes Investments, of Newport Beach, Calif., is developing.
Also in The CrossRoads development, Liberty Lake-based Spokane Teachers Credit Union had announced last September that it plans to construct a 3,500-square-foot, freestanding branch building with three drive-thru lanes this year or in early 2015.
A site plan posted on Hughes Investments website shows potential pad sites for three additional stand-alone buildings ranging in size from 3,800 square feet to 8,000 square feet of space.
