The city of Spokane Valley will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed Sprague-Appleway Revitalization Plan, on Tuesday, April 28, at 6 p.m., at the CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place. Call 688-0050 for information.

Connect Northwest will hold its annual Investment Forum Dinner on Thursday, May 7, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Davenport Hotel, 10 S. Post, at a cost of $65. The National Seminars Training group will present the following workshops: Communicating With Tact and Skill for Managers and Supervisors, on Friday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Mirabeau Park Hotel, 1100 N. Sullivan, $179; Human Resources for Professionals Who've Recently Assumed HR Responsibilities, on Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Hampton Inn, 2010 S. The Northwest Inland Empire chapter of Apics, The Association for Operations Management, will present a class titled Cycle Counting, on Wednesday, April 29, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, at a cost of $100. Call 279-6000 to register. Additionally, the group will meet that same day at 5:45 p.m., at 1234 E. Front, for a logistics tour of the Second Harvest Food Bank. The Spokane Home Builders Association will present a seminar titled Idaho Lien Law, on Friday, May 8, from 8 a.m. to noon, at a cost of $100 for members or $150 for others, followed by the seminar Managing the Difficult Customer, from 1 to 5 p.m., at a cost of $90 for members and $140 for others. The Northwest Independent Film & Video Entertainment Society will present a production assistant workshop taught by Spokane-based North by Northwest Productions, on Saturday, May 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Renew Theater, 1802 N. 15th, in Coeur d'Alene.
