Project management firm here takes more space

Hill International office now employs nine people, expects more growth in '09

December 18, 2008

The Spokane office of Marlton, N.J.-based Hill International Inc. has moved to a larger leased space to provide room for growth, says Kelly Reynolds, the construction-management firm's marketing coordinator here.

The company began operating in its new, 6,000-square-foot space in Lincoln Plaza, at 818 W. Riverside, on Dec. 8.

Hill International previously had occupied about 2,700 square feet of space in the Peyton Building, at 10 N. Post, she says. Cory Barbieri, commercial and leasing manager for Goodale & Barbieri Co., handled the lease transaction.

Reynolds says the Hill International office here has added three employees this year. It now employs a total of nine people and is expected to continue to grow in 2009, she says. The company has 2,300 employees in 80 offices worldwide, providing construction-management and other related project, claims, and consulting services.

Earlier this year, Hill International was selected by the Kalispel Tribe of Indians to provide program and construction-management services for the initial phase of the expansion of the Northern Quest Casino here. The two-year contract has an estimated value to Hill International of up to $2 million, the company says.

The initial phase of the casino expansion project includes construction of a six-story, $17 million parking garage, which opened last month, and a 45,000-square-foot casino addition, which is under way and is expected to be completed late this month, Reynolds says.

The second phase of work at the casino, for which Hill International also will provide program and construction-management services, will include construction of a 10-story, 250-room hotel tower, she says. That phase of the work already has gotten under way, and should be completed next year, she says. The general contractor for both phases is Kansas City, Mo.-based J.E. Dunn Construction Group Inc.
