Spokane-based Athlete Real Estate Capital LLC is partnering with a growing number of professional athletes to invest in Spokane’s multifamily real estate market and help the players grow long-term wealth.

Ryan Towner and Dallas Lightner, co-owners of Spokane-based LT Real Estate LLC and LT Property Management LLC, partnered with former Seattle Seahawks running back and NFL MVP Shaun Alexander to co-found the company, known as ARC, at the beginning of 2026.

“We’re just really excited, and it’s a great opportunity,” Towner says. “There’s definitely a need in the athlete world, and a lot of stats thrown out there that show the majority of NFL players go broke within a few years of retirement, so we feel that we have the investment platform to help change that.”

The company partners with current and retired professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, and MLB to purchase multifamily properties in Spokane County together, splitting both the investment and the revenue from the property, Towner says.

Currently, the three co-founders are ARC’s only employees; the company utilizes LT Real Estate and LT Property Management for support staff and property management needs, Lightner says.

The group completed its first multifamily complex investment with a partner athlete in April 2026, he says. Deals with 15 more athletes are in the works currently, with over 100 athletes expected to partner with the group in the near future.

ARC's co-founders decline to disclose the current and potential partner athletes.

The athletes and ARC purchase multifamily real estate together, sharing and minimizing the risks, Towner explains.

“We have skin in the game, so we're fully committed to the deals,” says Towner.

Alexander, a long-time real estate investor, says he got involved with ARC to help guide younger athletes in securing long-term wealth and stability, which he says can be a challenge for newer athletes.

“My role is to bring guys in and have this great relationship with everybody, from the financial planner to our team, to our staff and the players,” says Alexander. “I’m just teaching them how to become true CEOs of their own life and of their own wealth. It’s almost like being a chief relationship officer.”

The 2005 NFL MVP first met Towner while signing autographs at a Seahawks training camp at Eastern Washington University when Towner was 12 years old, Alexander says. Towner later attended several Fellowship of Christian Athletes Camps in North Carolina through Alexander’s youth mentoring nonprofit, the Shaun Alexander Family Foundation.

The two remained in touch throughout Towner’s high school, college, and professional career. They reconvened prior to 2026, and together with Lightner, decided to spin up ARC for pro athletes.

Although Alexander isn’t based in Spokane, Towner and Lightner’s focus on Spokane County means athletes based around the country who invest in real estate through ARC are buying properties in the market here, Lightner says.

“We know the area, so that for us is a competitive advantage in this space,” says Lightner.

How much the athlete invests in the deal determines how much money they make on a monthly basis, Lightner adds. ARC seeks out relevant real estate deals and assumes the most risk, usually investing the most capital into the sale, while athletes can choose to invest more or less capital into the deal.

LT Property Management manages the properties on behalf of ARC and the athlete, he says.

ARC, along with an athlete partner, completed its first multifamily purchase of a newly-constructed, 30-unit apartment complex at 2513 N. Regal in April 2026, Towner says. River City Apartments, located north of the Spokane River and about a mile southeast of Gonzaga Preparatory School, was purchased by 2513 N Regal Apartments LLC, a company owned by both ARC and the athlete, for $5.95 million.

Towner and Lightner decline to disclose their partner athlete in the sale or what percentage of the complex the athlete owns. They also decline to disclose the company’s current revenue.

ARC’s second multifamily investment is currently pending, Towner adds.

Real estate is a smart investment for players looking to grow wealth, Alexander contends.

“Real estate is probably one of the best things for long-term wealth,” he says. “The flaw in real estate is that you could invest in something that turns into a dud, but if you have the right team, it will eventually turn into success because the people that own land always have an asset that can win. For players, that can really benefit the family, and at the same time, holding on to that (property) will eventually create greater wealth in the future.”
