EWU to expand its online offerings

University adds digital master's level courses

June 17, 2021

Eastern Washington University will offer a series of new graduate-level degrees and certificates online beginning this fall.

The Cheney-based university announced via press release on June 14 that it’s expanding its online course offerings for graduate degrees in time for the fall quarter, which begins Sept. 22.

EWU will add online learning options for 11 degrees and certificates.

Students pursuing education degrees will have seven options for online degrees and certificates, including special education; history; music education; library media; career and technical education; health and physical education; English Language Learners-Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages; and program administration.

In addition to its education programs, EWU will offer a graduate certificate in accounting for those studying to become a CPA, a master’s degree in organizational leadership for those interested in management, and both a certificate and master’s degree in public health.

“The array of program offerings will give nontraditional students the flexibility to continue their education in an affordable and high-quality manner,” interim president David May says in the release.

EWU works with Dallas-based Academic Partnerships to provide its online courses. Academic Partnerships has supported development of EWU’s 18 existing online programs in education, accounting, and business.

EWU offers a total of more than 50 graduate programs, 28 graduate certificates, and two doctoral degree programs.
