Eide Bailly CPA firm to expand its downtown offices

Firm saw annual revenue increase over 28 percent

The Spokane office of Fargo, N.D.-based Eide Bailly LLP, a regional certified public accounting and business advisory firm, plans to expand its office space, having recently increased its staff and added to its service offerings.

The firm currently occupies 17,500 square feet of space on the second floor of the Spokesman-Review Building, at 999 W. Riverside.

Teresa Leighton, Spokane-based marketing coordinator for Eide Bailly, says the firm plans to keep its current second-floor offices and add a 7,500-square-foot space on the building’s first floor to accommodate its staffing growth.

“Since August, we’ve added eight new team members, and by January, we expect to add five more full-time hires as well as three interns,” says Leighton. “That will bring our staff here up to 79 people total.”

Leighton says the firm plans to begin moving into the new space this week.

Eide Bailly formed the downtown office in June of 2014, after merging its services with that of McDirmid, Mikkelsen & Secrest PS. Early this year, the company acquired another local firm, Spokane-based Langenhorst & Self-Merritt CPAs PS.

“Since merging with Eide Bailly, the Spokane office has taken off like a rocket, with revenues growing more than 28 percent each year over the last two plus years,” says Andrew McDirmid, partner in charge at Eide Bailly’s Spokane office.

He adds, “This last year was exceptional with Langenhorst & Self-Merritt joining us in January, and we’ve been expanding our services, which allows us to provide better solutions to meet our clients’ most difficult challenges.”

McDirmid says services the firm has added or expanded this year include business outsourcing and strategy, human-resource consulting, wealth planning, and cyber security.

“With the increase in revenues and people, we have needed to expand our space, which will provide our clients easier access to our office,” says McDirmid. “We want to create an enjoyable experience for our clients when they visit us.”

Founded in 1917, Eide Bailly provides core tax and audit services, as well as expanded offerings, including accounting, cost segregation, cyber security, financial, risk advisory, and technology consulting services. The firm operates 29 offices in 13 states.
