Gee affiliate buys Pasco dealership

Tri-City Nissan sells 2,000 vehicles a year, employs 60 people

February 26, 1997
Linn Parish

A company led by George Gee Automotive Group President Ryan Gee has acquired the assets of Tri-City Nissan, in Pasco, Wash.

The Pasco dealership employs 60 people and sells some 2,000 new and used cars annually, says Gee, who is managing partner of WG Nissan LLC, the company formed to buy and operate Tri-City Nissan.

This gives us a presence in the Tri-Cities, which were pretty excited about given the growth that area has seen, Gee says.

He declines to disclose the terms of the transaction.

The acquisition includes the Tri-City Nissan dealerships five-acre site and 17,000-square-foot building. Gee says that WG Nissan plans to remodel the facility, which was built in 1997, but those plans are in preliminary stages. The dealerships name will remain the same, he says.

George Gee Automotive Group, founded in 1983, operates George Gee Buick-Pontiac-GMC and a Hummer dealership, both in Liberty Lake. It also is constructing a $2 million-plus Porsche of Spokane dealership building, which is to open at the groups complex of dealerships there later this spring. The company also owns and operates a Cadillac-Isuzu dealership in Coeur dAlene.

WG Nissan LLC includes other executives at Gee Automotive Group, including Chairman and CEO George Gee, Ryan Gee says.
