Digital game-table maker to begin handling its own manufacturing, assembly

February 26, 1997
Linn Parish

DigiDeal Corp., a Spokane Valley-based maker of digital gaming tables, plans to expand its facility and start performing its own light-manufacturing and light-assembly work.

Previously, the company had contracted out that work.

Mike Kuhn, president and CEO of DigiDeal, says the company plans to add seven employees in coming months, five of whom will work in manufacturing and assembly.

The two other new hires will be a software engineer and a salesperson, he says.

With those additions, the company will have 20 employees, Kuhn says.

DigiDeals planned building expansion involves adding 4,500 square feet of floor space to the north side of its quarters, at 5207 E. Third, which will give the structure a total of 12,000 square feet of space.

Work on the project could start in February and would take four to five months to complete, Kuhn says.

The total cost of the expansion, including manufacturing and assembly equipment, is expected to be about $500,000, he says.

Baker Construction & Development Inc., of Spokane, is the design-build contractor for the project.

Founded in 1998, DigiDeal makes digital-game tables, such as for blackjack and baccarat, used in casinos and card rooms.

Its games currently are used at gambling establishments in Washington, California, and North Carolina, as well as in Europe, Asia, and Central and South America.
