7th building under way at Pinecroft

$1 million office structure in Valley business park is to be completed in spring

February 26, 1997
Linn Parish

Lumber Yard Investments LLC, of Spokane, is developing a seventh building in its Pinecroft Business Park, which is located near Mirabeau Point in the Spokane Valley.

The company started work on the $1 million office building earlier this month, and John Miller, Lumber Yards managing partner, says the structure likely will be completed next March.

The one-story, 28,000-square-foot building is being built at 12810 E. Mirabeau Parkway, just west of the year-old Edmo Distributors facility. Miller says the structure is similar in design to the other structures in the park and is being built speculatively. He says he currently is negotiating with several prospective tenants for the building. As designed, the structure could house up to six tenants.

Divcon Inc., of which Miller is president, is the general contractor on the project, and Architectural Ventures, of Spokane, designed it.

Lumber Yard began developing Pinecroft in 1998, and Miller says the company envisions developing three more office buildings there, which would give the park a total of 10 structures.

The 15-acre business park currently is home to several high-tech and communications companies, including Avaya Inc., Cricket Communications, Lincare Inc., and the former LineSoft Corp., which now operates as a division of Itron Inc.
